The Department of EEE has 163 research scholars affiliated to it. Eligible research scholars draw a stipend of Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 20,000 as part of the SSN Junior Research and Senior Research Fellowships respectively. Research scholars are also associated to external grants sanctioned to the department in various capacities viz. Research Assistant, Research Fellow, JRFs AND SRFs. The department has 90 research scholars awarded with a Ph.D. degree and 1 with a PDF.
