A rich campus experience
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) Institutions Chennai aims to provide an immersive campus experience. The campus is home to over 4000 students of SSN College of Engineering, affiliated to Anna University, who are amongst the best and brightest in the country. Students enjoy world class academic infrastructure, as well as professional level sports facilities. The institution fosters a respectful and open-minded campus culture, where students are encouraged to engage in intellectual debates, to challenge conventional wisdom, and to explore different avenues for learning and self-expression. It provides students with the necessary resources to pursue a range of recreational interests through clubs, societies and activities. Entrepreneurial projects are encouraged and supported. In order to facilitate the process of all round development, the campus provides a wide variety of world-class sporting facilities, both indoor and outdoor, which frequently host state and national level events. The cricket grounds, originally inaugurated by Kapil Dev, are where India international R. Ashwin honed his skills. He was first selected for India while studying here. Arjuna Award winning table tennis champion Anaka Alankamony is also a product of this environment.
There is no lack of excitement at the SSN Chennai campus. A scene from the Rajnikanth starrer ‘Robot’ has been shot in the 1000 seat auditorium. Not to be outdone, Kamal Hasan has delivered a speech on campus in March, 2018. A round the year calendar of events and activities, both academic and extracurricular, provide students with a variety of choices. From international academic and technical conferences, to the most happening cultural festival in Chennai, to stimulating and engaging lectures by the cream of academia and industry, there is never a dull moment on campus.
