Dr. Sajjan Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. He is also an IEEE Senior Member.

He received his B.Tech. (EE) in 2010 from MAKAUT, West Bengal and both M.E. and Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2012 and 2021 respectively. He worked as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the same university and received the prestigious scholarship from UGC, Govt. of India during his PhD tenure. Prior to this, Dr. Kumar has also received the scholarship from MHRD, Govt. of India during his master’s tenure. He qualified the GATE two times in EE-subject with percentile score of 96.4 & 97.8 in 2010 & 2012 respectively.

He had started the IEEE Student Branch in previous workplace and was elected as IEEE Student Branch Counselor. He has experience of organizing more than 30 technical/non-technical events like International Conferences/FDPs/Workshops/Webinars/Panel Discussion etc as convenor/coordinator/secretary. He is also an active reviewer of several IEEE/springer international conferences and reputed international journals from Elsevier, Taylor and Francis and Wiley publication etc. He also delivered some technical lectures as keynote speaker/resource person in technical events like FDPs, seminars, webinars & workshops. He was also invited to present his research work as Young Scientist in the Kolleg (Colloquium) organized by Humboldt Club Calcutta (HCC) and sponsored by AvH Foundation, Germany.

Till now, he has published more than 20 research papers in reputed SCI Indexed International Journals and in international conferences. His research interest includes Renewable & hybrid energy, power system optimization, Distributed generation, Smart micro & nano grid, power economics, single & multi-objective optimization etc.
