P.Vasuki graduated from Madras University in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She obtained her Master’s degree in the year 2000 in Computer Science Engineering from M K University. She completed her PhD from Anna University in December 2015 in the field of Speech Emotion Recognition.

She worked as a lecturer at Anjalai Ammal Engineering College and as Senior Member Technical Staff at Emcon Emsys Technologies Pvt Ltd, Chennai. She joined SSN College of Engineering in November 2002.

Her areas of interest are speech processing, emotion recognition and machine learning. She worked as a Co-Investigator on an AICTE project “Voice Enabled documentation and mailing system in Indian languages for handheld devices” between 2006 and 2010. Currently, she is an investigator of an Internally Funded Project, “Cognitive Model-Based Intelligent Interactive Tutoring System to assist students in improving their programming skill.” She guided an internally funded student project, “Code Easy – A Code Learning System Using OCR and Deep Learning” and currently guiding another project “Electricity conservation and security through human detection.”
