Dr. Manthiram Karthik Ravichandran completed his Bachelor`s degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Environmental Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where his research work was focused on the “Removal of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products using Engineered Natural Treatment Systems”. His research interest includes Water and Wastewater Treatment, Natural Treatment Systems, Fate of Emerging Micro-pollutants (Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs), Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)), Faecal Sludge Management, Process Simulation Model and Sustainability.

- Environmental audit for various industries and waste processing facilities, Common Effluent Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Plants including water balance and mass balance.

- Analysis of specific pollutants (micropollutants, heavy metals, trace organics, volatile organic compounds, and disinfection byproducts) from complex environmental matrices (water, wastewater, soil/sediments, plants).
