Dr. K. Murugesan, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has 21 years of teaching and 1.5 years of industry experience.
He received his B.E (EEE) degree from Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur, University of Madras and M.E. Power Electronics and Drives from SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. He also completed an M.B.A degree from SRM Engineering College, Chennai, University of Madras. He received his Ph. D in Flexible AC Transmission Systems area from faculty of Electrical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.
His areas of professional interest are control system, digital electronics, microcontroller, management, organizing, leadership, MATLAB, and Entrepreneurship, etc. He is a certified Entrepreneurship educator trained through the Stanford Technology Venture Program (STVP).
He is also interested in public speaking, translation, writing poems, and articles. He addressed more than 700 stages, which includes various schools, colleges, public meetings, YouTube, and T.V media. He published more than 125 poems and more than 50 articles in reputed Tamil magazines. He translated more articles from English to Tamil and translated speeches from Tamil to English.
He is one of the authors in a book titled “நவீன சிந்தனை வடிவாக்கம் -ஓர் அறிவியல் பார்வை (Naveena Sinthanai Vadivamaipu – Oor ariviyal parvai” by Mc Graw Hill Publication, which is funded by Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology to promote the technical writing in the Tamil.
He has published over 20 research publications in international journals, proceedings of national and international conferences. He completed one funded project, worth Rs. 3.5 Lakhs, funded by SSN Trust.
