J. K. Josephine Julina, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, has almost 15 years of experience as of May 2024 which includes 3.5 years of experience in industry. She completed her Ph.D. from Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in the year 2023. She received her M. E. – Computer Science and Engineering with distinction from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering during the year 2012 and B. E. – Computer Science and Engineering with distinction from Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College during the year 2005. She has secured Anna University 28thrank and college 2nd rank in her M.E. Her industrial experience as a Software Engineer in iSOFT R&D Pvt. Ltd paved the way for a successful launch of her professional career. During her tenure at iSOFT, she visited the United Kingdom for product development and enhancement in healthcare domain. She worked as a Lecturer at Hindustan University for about a year and joined as an Assistant Professor at SSN College of Engineering in the year 2013. She has been an active member of IEEE professional body since 2014 and is currently holding senior member grade in IEEE. She also holds ACM and CSI membership.

Hackathon organized
- Organized a 24-Hour Virtual Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 4.0” during 10-11 Mar’ 2022. A total of 41 teams consisting of 153 student participants from various colleges participated in the event. The sessions were handled by 30 expert members from Alliance University, Bangalore and from various industries namely Mr. Cooper, NeoHorizon Analytics, Amazon Development Center, Sirius Computer Solutions, PayPal, Tata Consultancy Services, Eclerx Digital and Infosys.
- Organized a 24-Hour Virtual Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 3.0” during 15-16 Mar’ 2021. A total of 51 teams consisting of 133 students participated. The sessions were handled by 25 expert members from various industries namely Mr.Cooper, Qualcomm, Pidilite Industries Pvt Ltd and FORMCEPT Technologies and Solutions.
- Organized a 24-Hour Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 2.0” during 20th & 21st Feb’ 2020. A total of 28 teams consisting of 112 student participants from various disciplines participated. The sessions were handled by 28 expert members from various industries namely Ajira Soft, Mr. Cooper, HCL, CTS, Freshworks, Sirius, Temenos, and CML Media Software Pvt. Ltd.
- Organized a 24-Hour Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 1.0” during 31st Jan’ 2019 – 01st Feb’ 2019. A total of 34 teams consisting of 152 student participants from various disciplines participated. The sessions were handled by 27 expert members from various industries namely Mr. Cooper, Amazon, QUBE Cinema, Infosys, HCL, CTS and Thoughtworks.

A total of 76 participants (faculty members, research scholars and students) from various institutions & universities attended the workshop. - Organized 6-day Faculty development Programme (FDP) on “Exploring Next Generation Smart Solutions (ENGSS 2024)”, during March 11 -16, 2024.
- Organized 5th International Conference on Computer, Communication and Signal Processing (ICCCSP 2021) during 24-25 May 2021.
- Organized a six-day Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on “AI in Healthcare” during 14–19 December, 2020. Nearly 216 participants from 85 different institutes all over the globe participated in the programme virtually. Sessions were handled by 13 internal speakers from SSN CE and 7 external speakers from various Industries and Anna University.
