SSN College of Engineering has managed to fill 88% of seats in round 1 Anna University Counselling
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering has managed to fill 428 seats in the first round out of the 487 seats available. While SSN has managed to fill 88% of seats, Anna University’s CEG and MIT campus colleges have filled only 87 % and 86% of seats, respectively. Only 84% of seats in Central Electrochemical Research Institute, affiliated with Anna University, have been filled after the first round of counselling.
In this new trend, more top-ranking students have their first choice as well performing private colleges over government colleges. The choice is due to world-class infrastructure, better placements, and highly motivated faculties.
Usually, Anna University’s CEG, MIT, and CECRI are the most preferred colleges by top rankers in the first round of counselling. Top scorers usually prefer government colleges over private ones because of lower fees and better quality of faculty. But the scenario is different this time with SSN outperforming all the other colleges.
