Dr. Sunita Nair, A Visionary Leader in Student Affairs and Academic Excellence

Dr. Sunita Nair serves as the Advisor, Student Affairs for the SSN Trust, encompassing SSN College of Engineering and SNUC. With a focus on the holistic development of students, she plays a pivotal role in building sustainable student activities in collaboration with faculty and students. Her mentoring and leadership have fostered an inclusive and vibrant campus culture.

Dr. Nair has been a part of SSN College of Engineering since its inception in 1996, starting as a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry. Over the years, she seamlessly balanced her teaching responsibilities with her role as Student Affairs Advisor, a position she has held for over two decades. A recipient of the Best Teacher Award nine times, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to academic and personal growth among students.

An accomplished scholar, Dr. Nair earned her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry from Ravishankar University, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for securing first rank and a National Scholarship. Before joining SSNCE, she held prestigious Post-Doctoral positions under CSIR and contributed to teaching M.Sc. students at Goa University. With 33 years of teaching and research experience, she continues to inspire students and colleagues through her dedication, expertise, and passion for education.
