Lateral Entry at SSN
Students who have completed a three-year diploma programme are eligible for lateral entry admissions directly. The second year B.E/B.Tech lateral entry admissions will be through TNEA single window counselling and management quota.
Eligibility for Lateral Entry Admissions
| Eligibility Criteria | Candidates with a minimum of 55% marks in the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech. in the branch corresponding to the area their of study at the diploma. OR The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc. level with a minimum of 55% marks are also eligible for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E. / B.Tech. Such candidates shall undergo two additional Engineering subject(s) in the third and fourth semesters as prescribed by the University. |
