Professional Experience and Achievements
Vice President of Digital Technology Solutions, MEL Systems Services Ltd. – Chennai, India
June 2024 to December 2024
As Vice President of Digital Technology Solutions at MEL Systems Services Ltd. (MELSS), I led the strategic direction for digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the Tire, Electronics, Automobile, and Industrial manufacturing sectors. My primary responsibilities included new product development, overseeing the software services department, and directing business development efforts.
Associate Director / Site Leader of Business Technology Solutions, AbbVie, Inc. – Texas, USA March 2023 to April 2024
During my tenure as Associate Director and Site Leader in the Business Technology Solutions group at AbbVie, Inc., a renowned biopharmaceutical manufacturing company, I was responsible for defining the business technology priorities for the Texas pharmaceutical plant. As Site Leader, I implemented technologies to reduce human error, simplify processes, enhance automation, digitalization, and cyber resilience, and drove continuous improvement projects.
Executive Vice President, Co-Founder, Chief Technology & Chief Innovation Officer, WayCool Foods & Products Ltd- Chennai, India May 2017 – January 2023
As Executive Vice President, Chief Technology, and Innovation Officer at WayCool Foods & Products Ltd, Chennai, India, I was instrumental in establishing the company’s IT infrastructure from the ground up and oversaw its IT and automation needs. My role involved driving both exponential and non-linear growth by developing products and platforms utilizing advanced technologies. Under my leadership, WayCool experienced significant growth and became a high-innovation company from zero technology. Launched three market-facing products: iGrade, OutGrow, and SunnyBee Market.
Director / Chief Architect (Technology), Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai, INDIA June 2012 – May 2017
As Chief Architect at Cognizant, I provided thought leadership, technology enablement, business development, delivery, and execution excellence within the Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy and utility, Retail, and FMCG sectors. I focused on several C-level engagements as the Head of the Global Technology Office’s (GTO) Retail, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy, and Utility (RCGMLEU) vertical.
My role required me to be a strategic leader and a technology innovator, bringing diverse experience in many industries and solutions to Cognizant’s clients worldwide.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Premio Foods, Inc. NJ, USA December 2001 – April 2012
Reporting to the President & CEO, I oversaw the daily operations of IT functions at Premio Foods. My key responsibilities included:
- Developing and upgrading the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems.
- Creating an end-to-end shop floor automation platform and integrating it with ERP.
- Managing IT infrastructure, including email, phone systems, and security.
Senior Systems Analyst, Fourth Technologies, Inc. NJ, USA June 1999 – December 2001
- Developed Secure Electronic Transfer (SET) protocols for JMTS.
- Successfully led a Citi Bank and Amex E-Wallet project team under the client Globeset.
- Played a key role in creating a Personal Finance website, including personal finance portfolios, stock market analysis, and other user facilities for Altavista.
