Dr. R. Amutha, a distinguished academic and researcher, is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering with an extensive career spanning 37 years in teaching and 23 years in research. She completed her undergraduate studies in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, in 1987. She then obtained her Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Applied Electronics from P.S.G. College of Technology, Coimbatore. She later earned her Ph.D. from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. Before joining SSN, she served as a faculty member at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Sriperumbudur, for 17 years.
Dr. R. Amutha, Professor in the Department of ECE, specializes in Wireless Communication Networks, Image Processing, and IoT. She has 75 publications in international and national journals and 98 publications in conferences. A recognized research supervisor at Anna University, she has guided 13 Ph.D. scholars and is currently mentoring three more. She is a reviewer for IEEE, Journal of Electronic Imaging, Elsevier, and ETRI and has reviewed research grant proposals for the National Science Centre, Poland. She also serves as a Board of Studies member for curriculum revision at Velammal Engineering College.
