Dr. V. Rajini, Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, is a distinguished academic advisor, graduate mentor and accomplished researcher. Her dedication to academic excellence is evident through her active involvement in NBA, NAAC and NIRF accreditation activities, where she has significantly contributed to institutional growth. Recognised for her leadership, she has been appointed as a ‘Margadarshak’ by AICTE, mentoring other institutions towards achieving academic excellence.

Dr. Rajini’s research credentials are exemplary, with numerous publications in prestigious journals such as IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Wiley and Taylor & Francis. She has also authored two widely acclaimed books on ” Electrical Machine Design” and ‘ Electric Motor Drives’ with Pearson international publishers.

Her expertise has further been recognised with the completion of three government-funded projects and the ongoing execution of two more.

An innovator at heart, Dr. Rajini holds two patents and has been featured in The Indian Express for her remarkable achievements. Her contributions to academia and research continue to inspire students and peers alike, exemplifying the spirit of innovation and mentorship.

She has successfully guided 13 Ph.D. scholars and 36 postgraduate students. She has been instrumental in setting up a high-voltage lab at SSN and has traveled extensively to various countries for academic and research engagements. 

A dedicated academic leader, she has organized multiple national and international conferences, including the Fifth International Conference on Electrical Energy Systems (ICEES 2019), alongside numerous workshops and guest lectures. She recently conducted a tutorial at ICRERA in the USA, further showcasing her expertise. She has mentored students in the development of ‘A low-cost open-sourced motor controller unit for Electric Vehicles,’ which won first prize (₹1 lakh) from Tata Motors.

 Recognized for her excellence, she has received several prestigious accolades, including the SSN Best Faculty Award, CTS Best Faculty Award, Distinguished Researcher Award, Leading Scientist Award and the Bharat Jyoti Award.
