Dr. R. Jayaparvathy, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SSN, has an illustrious 35-year teaching career. She graduated with distinction from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore (1987), earned her PG degree in Applied Electronics from Coimbatore Institute of Technology and completed her Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from AU-KBC Research Centre, Anna University, Chennai. 

Before joining SSN, she served at Coimbatore Institute of Technology for 24 years, holding key academic and administrative roles, including Academic Council Member, Research Board Member and Board of Studies Member at CIT and PSG College of Technology. She has also served as a Technical Auditor for Anna University, Coimbatore and was a Member-Research Staff at AU-KBC Research Centre.

Dr. Jayaparvathy has been the Principal Investigator of multiple sponsored projects, with her Elephant Intrusion Detection System for forest border areas, developed in collaboration with the Forest Department, gaining widespread media recognition. She specializes in Embedded Systems, System Risk Assessment and Resource Allocation in Networks. With over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications and more than 50 international conference proceedings, she has significantly contributed to research. She has successfully guided 8 Ph.D. scholars and is currently mentoring 6 Ph.D. candidates.

Recognized for her academic excellence, Dr. Jayaparvathy serves as an Expert Evaluator for the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is a Mardarshak, AICTE. She has also been an Expert Evaluator for AICTE’s AQIS (All India Council for Technical Education Quality Improvement Scheme), further reinforcing her role as a distinguished academician and researcher.
