The EEE department organises events aimed at bringing together technologists, researchers, and industries from diverse verticals on a common platform to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange through keynote talks, hands-on sessions, and paper presentations. Renowned for its expertise in power electronics, electric machines, renewable energy, and electric vehicle technology, the department focuses on significant research areas such as static power conversion, performance improvement of power systems, renewable energy interfaces, energy storage solutions like magnetic, battery, and flywheel systems, and the application of AI and IoT in power electronics.
In electric machines and drives, the department emphasises electromagnetic 2D and 3D design and analysis, including innovative research on Switched Reluctance Motors, BLDC, and Synchronous Reluctance drives for industrial applications. With a commitment to advancing teaching, research, development, and training in emerging technologies, the department actively collaborates with industries to enhance student outcomes and contribute to technological advancements.
