Advancing Research in Chemical Engineering Innovations and Contributions
The Department of Chemical Engineering initiated active research in the year 2006.
The major research areas include Alternative Fuels, Biosorption, Hydrotropy, Extraction, Nanotechnology, Sol-Gel Synthesis, Wastewater Treatment and CO₂ Sequestration.
The department is well-equipped with advanced research facilities and cutting-edge chemical engineering software such as CHEMCAD, Ansys, Aspen Plus, MATLAB and Simulink, COSMOThermX and TURBOMOLE, enabling high-quality research.Currently, 12 faculty members serve as research guides under Anna University, Chennai.
