Dr. R. Anantharaj is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Sri Siva Subramanya Nadar College of Engineering in Chennai. He obtained his Undergraduate degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2005, and his master’s degree in chemical engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu in 2007. Anantharaj received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2011 under the supervision of Professor. Tamal Banerjee. Dr. R. Anantharaj is a recipient of many awards and honours. These include, besides others, Aram Best Teachers Award 2024, SSN Best Teachers Award 2024, SSN Best Teachers Award 2018, Dr. ABJ. Abdul Kalam Award for Young Scientists 2017, Institute of Engineers in India (IEI) – Young Scientist Award 2017, PEARL – A Foundation Best Young Scientist Award 2016, Venus International Foundation Best Young Scientist Award 2016, Thermax-ASSET Awards 2013 for best Ph.D. Thesis, ProSPER. Net-Scopus Young Scientist Award 2013 (Runner Up).
He has received more than 1.20 crore projects from different funding agencies in government and non-government industries. He has authored and co-authored over 125 peer reviewed journal and Conference publications; published 1- book, 5- book chapters, 6 – Indian Patents, produced 5 Ph.Ds. and guides 4 Ph.D. students.
