Dr. B. Chitra is a dedicated academician and researcher with over 18 years of teaching and research experience in Chemical Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. from Anna University (2018), an M.Tech. from IIT Madras (2007), and a B.Tech. from Pondicherry Engineering College (2005). Her research focuses on nanomaterials, nanofluids, heat transfer, modeling, and simulation. She has successfully led funded projects, including the experimental investigation of nanofluids for enhanced heat transfer and biosurfactant-based aromatic amine degradation. A prolific researcher, she has published extensively in reputed journals, authored book chapters, and guided numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and currently guiding 3 Ph.D. scholars. Dr. Chitra is a life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and is committed to advancing sustainable engineering practices through innovative research and knowledge dissemination.

Qualification

B.Tech. – Chemical Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College (2005)

M.Tech. – Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras (2007)

Ph.D. – Chemical Engineering, Anna University (2018)

Research Interests – Nanomaterials & Nanofluids, heat transfer, modeling and simulation.
