Dr. Anup Kundu

Assistant Professor

Department Of Chemical Engineering

Dr. Anup Kundu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai (NIRF Rank 46 in 2024, Rank 45 in 2023, 48 in 2022). Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor at CV Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar (NIRF Rank 100 in 2021). With over 4 years and 8 months of teaching and research experience, I hold a Ph.D. in computational fluid dynamics and fluid-structure interaction from IIT Bombay and Monash University, Australia.

My research expertise spans computational fluid dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, bluff body flows, flow-induced vibration, heat transfer, microchannels, and multiphase flow. I have contributed extensively to gas-liquid reactions, including alternative contacting devices for mass transfer coefficient estimation and improved liquid distribution in trickle-bed reactors. I was awarded the Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research, sponsored by Forbes Marshall Pvt. Ltd. Pune, and have published several papers in international journals. Additionally, I have professional experience as a Research Associate at IIT Bombay and Graduate Engineering Trainee at Jai Balaji Industries Limited, Kolkata.
