Dr. D. Praveen Sam graduated B.A. & M.A. from St. Joseph College (Autonomous), Trichy, M.Phil. from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, PhD and MBA (Operations Management) from Anna University, Chennai, and PGCTE & PGDTE from English and Foreign Languages (EFLU) University, Hyderabad. During his college days, he was the athletic captain of the college and Student Secretary of the English department. His academic training and approximately 18 years of experience in English language teaching (ELT) at various engineering institutions, including Anna University, combined with three years of working experience as an e-Learning Specialist at Tutors World Wide India Pvt. Ltd., have prepared him to be an effective teacher. His passion lies in content development, specifically in creating asynchronous and synchronous e-learning platforms for language teaching and learning. He has been recognised as a Ph.D. supervisor at Anna University, Chennai. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of English at SSN College of Engineering (Autonomous), Chennai – 603110. He is a part of a professional organisation called the English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI). He is an editor of the journal ELT Practitioner.
