Selvam E is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. He has over nine years of teaching experience and five years of research experience. His primary research interests include aerial robotics perception and navigation, deep reinforcement learning and low-altitude wireless networks.
He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis titled “Adaptive Learning Architectures for Intelligent Navigation and Coordination in Autonomous Multi-Agent Aerial Systems” to Anna University, Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) Campus, Chennai, India. He earned his M.E. degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Tiruchirappalli, where he secured First Rank and was awarded the University Gold Medal. He completed his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.
As part of his research journey, he has undertaken international research fellowships at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, under the Erasmus+ Mobility Program, and at Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule, Jena, Germany, under the DST-DAAD Fellowship. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Anna University Centenary Research Fellowship awarded by the Centre for Research, Anna University, Chennai.
