Introduction
Dr. M. Shanmugapriya, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, has over 17 years of teaching experience. She has 23 years of research experience in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics. She received her bachelor’s degree from Gandhigram Deemed University, master’s degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, and doctorate specializing in Fluid Dynamics from Anna University, Chennai. Her current research interests include CFD, Newtonian and non-Newtonian flow, bio-heat and mass transfer, upgraded nanofluids, artificial intelligence techniques, and fuzzy and neutrosophic set theory. Currently, two full-time scholars have completed their Ph.D., and two full-time research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. under her guidance. She has published over 70 research articles in international and national journals and conference proceedings. She has co-authored four book chapters. She has organized FDPs, workshops, and international and national conferences on various topics in mathematics. She has successfully completed a 4-year internally funded project titled “Prediction of Mechanical Properties of Nano-Concrete Using Artificial Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic” with a budget of 5.5 lakh, funded by SSN Trust.
She is an active member of professional bodies such as the National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP) and the Society for Reliability and Safety (SRESA). She is also a member of the Centre of Excellence in Water Research (CEWAR), Department of Chemical Engineering, SSNCE.
