Dr. S.Tamil Selvi is with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SSN College of Engineering, TamilNadu, India, serving as an Associate Professor since 2016. She received the B.E. Degree with First Class in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and the M.E. degree (Full Time) with First Class Distinction in Power System Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. She has successfully completed her Ph.D (Full Time) in distribution transformer design using evolutionary algorithms under Anna University in 2015. She has a GATE score of 85.53 Percentile. She has over 20 years of work experience including 14 years of Teaching experience, 2 years of Industry experience and 4 years of Full time Research experience. She has worked in various places including Academics, Research, and Industry-Intellasys (OnSpec Legend Information Systems).
She has published her research works in 23 Science Citation Indexed International Journals, and 20 Scopus Indexed International Journals/Conferences. She has published Three Books and Six Book Chapters. She has Published One Patent. She has Published her software code for NSGA-II, a multi objective evolutionary algorithm in ‘MATLAB Central’ to serve the research community. Five part time Ph.D research scholars were awarded Ph.D degree under her supervision and Four more scholars are pursuing Ph.D under her guidance.
