Dr. W.Jino Hans is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai since 2006. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2004. He received his M.Tech in Embedded systems and Technology from SRM University, India in 2006. He has completed his Ph.D degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2018 in the field Image Processing. He has an overall teaching experience of 14 Years.
His research focus include Inverse problems in Image processing, Single image Super-resolution Algorithms, Matrix regression Analysis and computer vision for Intelligent Transportation Systems. He has published research articles in refereed journals and have presented his research work in various conferences in India and abroad. He is a member in professional bodies like IEEE, ISTE and IETE.
Three student teams under his mentorship have participated in the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon and the team ‘infinity clones’ won the badge for engine oil prognostics by Tata motors. He also mentored several student projects under the DST-Texas instruments ‘India Innovation challenge – Design Contest’ and his teams have been selected for the semi-finals. Moreover, he have guided over 5 student internal funded projects.
He is very active in social activities and is one of the NSS program officer. He have conducted a lot of awareness campaigns in rural areas. He also volunteered the Vidiyal programme in Krishnagiri and Thiruvanamalai districts.
