Dr. V. Sivamurugan received his B.Tech and M.E in Electronics Engineering from MIT Campus Anna University. He has also completed his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna UniversityChennai, in 2022. He has been working in SSN since 2000 at various positions. He is currently working as an Associate Professor. He has more than 22 years of teaching experience, including 10 years of research experience in the field of machine learning and OCT and Retinal image analysis.

He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). His research interests include machine learning, OCT image analysis and classification, Retinal image analysis and classification.He has more than 14 publications in reputed National and International Journals and Conferences.

Awards Received

Best Teacher Award in SSN College of Engineering for the year 2000-2001, 2001-2002, 2002-2003 & 2006-2007.

Funded Projects

Principal Investigator of the project titled “Analysis of retinal images and prediction of diabetic retinopathy with image enhancement”, funded by SSN Management (2018-2019).
