Dr. Srinath Rajagopalan obtained his M.S and Ph. D in Civil Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Texas Tech University, USA. He is an Anna University authorized research supervisor.  Dr. Rajagopalan has nearly fourteen years of teaching and research experience in the field of contamination fate, transport, and remediation and in water reuse. He has worked extensively on natural perchlorate collaborating with researchers from different backgrounds like Chemistry, Geosciences, and Environmental Toxicology and from different agencies like USGS, USAF, USDA, USDOD, TWDB, and TCEQ.

Dr. Srinath has seven international peer-reviewed journal publications, one book chapter, and over 25 international conference presentations. One of his peer-reviewed journal titled “The origin of naturally occurring perchlorate: the role of atmospheric processes” was awarded the best science paper of 2005 by editors and the editorial advisory board of ES&T.

Dr. Srinath teaches courses like Environmental Engineering I &2, Air Pollution Management, Allied Hydraulics Engineering, Basic Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Graphics.
