Dr. R. Rajavel, Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, has 23 years of engineering experience, including 4 years of research experience at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, one year of industrial experience as an Image Processing Specialist at NeST (P) Ltd. Trivandrum, and 18 years of teaching experience at Hindustan College of Engineering Chennai, SRM Easwari Engineering College Chennai, and SSN College of Engineering Chennai.
He received his B.E. (ECE) degree from Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai under the University of Madras in 1999, his M.E. in Process Control and Instrumentation from Annamalai University in 2001 and earned his doctoral degree from the National Institute of Technology Calicut in 2011.
He has published over 60 research papers in refereed international journals and in the proceedings of national and international conferences. He is a recognized supervisor at Anna University, where five scholars have graduated with their Ph.D. under his guidance. Currently, six Ph.D. research scholars are conducting their research in the areas of Speech Signal Processing, Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science. His areas of interest include Signal Processing, Image Processing, Speech Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning.
