Dr. R. Govindarajisworking as an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Physics, SSN (Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar) College of Engineering, Chennai.Dr. R. Govindaraj obtained his B.Sc(Physics) and M.Sc (Physics) degrees from Periyar University, Salem, Tamil Nadu. He received his Ph.D. degree (in Physics) from Anna University, Chennai in 2018. His research interests includethe development of semiconductors, nanomaterials, energy harvesting devices, dye-sensitized solar cells, and perovskite solar cells.He published 38 research articles in refereed International journals and participated in several national and international conferences. He has published 3 AIP (American Institute of Physics) conference proceedings. He received the “best Ph.D. thesis award” in 2018. He received two “best researcher awards” in 2015 and 2017 from SSN Institutions.  He received four “best oral/poster awards” in International/National conferences. Currently, he is executing one externally funded project supported by DAE-BRNS (Department of Atomic Energy-Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Government of India). He completed two internally funded faculty projects supported by SSN Trust. He is an active member of the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) and the Indian Association for Crystal Growth (IACG).
