Dr. R. Amutha, Professor, Department of ECE, has 33 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience. She has graduated from Thiagarajar college of Engineering, Madurai, in Electronics and communication in the year 1987. She obtained her M.E degree in Applied Electronics from P.S.G College of Technology, Coimbatore. She got her Ph.D degree from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. Before joining SSN, she served as a faculty in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Sriperumbudur for 17 years.
Her research area includes Wireless communication network, Image processing and IoT. She has 62 publications in International and National journals and 95 publications in International and national conferences. She is a member of IEEE. She is a recognized research supervisor of Anna University. Eight Ph.D scholars are graduated under her guidance. She is currently guiding 5 research scholars. She is a reviewer of IEEE, Journal of Electronic Imaging, Elsevier, ETRI etc. She reviewed two research grant proposal submitted to the national science centre, Poland Government.
