Dr. P. Senthil Kumar, Director, Centre of Excellence in Water Research (CEWAR) and Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai, India was born on 08th May, 1982 in Madurai, Tamilnadu, India. He has a wide research experience in the fields of Water/Wastewater Analysis, Pollution Control Treatment Methods, Environmental Nanobiotechnology and Alternative Fuels. He has 14 years of teaching and research experience and 1 year of industrial experience. He holds one Indian Patent on “Shrimp Shell Waste into Biodegradable Grocery Bags”, 300+ International Journal Publications, 100+ book chapters and 100+ National/International Conference Publications. He also wrote one book titled “Modern Treatment Strategies for Marine Pollution” published by Elsevier. He has 8500+ citations with a Google Scholar h-index of 50+ along with i10 index of 150+. He has been awarded the Malaviya Memorial (Young Faculty) Award 2019, IEI Young Engineers Award 2017-2018, Hiyoshi Think of Ecology Award 2017, CTS Best Teacher Award and Many Young Scientist Awards. He is a recognized Anna University Research Supervisor to guide Ph.D./M.S. candidates. Under his guidance, 11 Ph.D. Scholars have completed and 8 Ph.D. scholars are currently pursuing in the various fields of environmental and chemical engineering.
