Dr. N. Radha, Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai. She has 15 years of teaching experience, including 1 year of industry experience. She received her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. She has completed her Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai with distinction. She has completed her Ph.D degree from Anna University, Chennai in the area of Speech Recognition.

She joined SSN College of Engineering in the year 2007 and has taught courses like Web Programming, Computer Graphics, Software Project Management, Fundamentals of Computing and Programming, Cryptography and Network Security, Information Assurance Security, Web Technologies, XML and Web Services, Internet and Java Programming and Principles of Management for UG and PG programme.

She is a recognized Anna University research supervisor to guide Ph.D./ M.S. candidates and currently guiding 3 research scholars.  Her area of research interest includes Speech processing, Image processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. She guided the projects in the area audio-visual speech recognition, speaker recognition, video processing, machine learning and AI for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. She has published about 37 research papers in her area of research both international journals and conferences. She has organized an International Conference and Workshops.

She received 3 best paper awards for her research papers presented in IEEE sponsored International conferences. She is a Principal investigator of the internal funded project titled “Audio-Visual Speech Recognition System for Tamil CV Units” funded by SSN Trust. She is also a Co-Principal investigator of the project titled “Analysing Soil Erosion along the Kovalam Coastal stretch using Image Processing” funded by SSN Trust.
