Ms. M. Shyamala Bharathy has been teaching English language for more than 23 years at the undergraduate level for Arts and Science students as well as Engineering students. And she has more than 14 years of research experience in ELT.
She received her undergraduate degree from Lady Doak College affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. She completed B. Ed at Annamalai University with a focus on Methodology of Teaching Skills .And finished her post graduation from Madurai Kamaraj University. Her research topic for M.Phil degree at Madurai Kamaraj University, was Contextual Relevance, Structural Finesse and Technical Excellence of Walt Whitman’s Poetry
She is a recognized teacher for a Business English Certificate course. Her research topic for her doctoral degree was on Testing spoken English with regard to Communications skills language laboratory which was an output from the overall survey analysis of the data collected from Engineering students in and around Tamilnadu. In March 2015, she was awarded PhD by Anna University ,Chennai.
She has presented and attended both the national and international conferences and the thrust area was with Self Access Language Learning with a deeper insight on testing and counselling in language learning centres which is highly demanded in recent years for acquiring language learning skills.
