Dr. J. Sofia Jennifer is an Assistant professor at SSN College of Engineering since July 2013. She has completed her Ph.D from Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in the area of Image Processing during August 2020. She received her M.Tech (IT) degree with distinction from Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore, her B.Tech (IT) degree with distinction from P.S.R Engineering College, Sivakasi and her Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai in the area of Image Processing. Before her tenure at SSN, she served as an Assistant Professor at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai for 2 years.

Her current research areas of interest include image pre-processing techniques, computer vision applications, deep learning algorithms and neutosophic sets. To her credit she has published in reputed journals indexed in SCI, SCOPUS, Web of Science etc.
