Dr. Chamundeswari Arumugam is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering department at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, India. She received her B.E (Computer Science and Engineering) degree from Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College, Madras University, Chennai in 1992 and M.E (Software Engineering) degree from College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in 2002. She worked as a research scholar, under the supervision of Dr. Chitra Babu, Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SSNCE and received her Ph.D degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2013.

Her research areas of interests include software estimation, software testing, software project management, cyber security, cyber forensics, machine learning, deep learning, and psychology. She has organized International conference IEEE ICCIDS 2019, and reviewed many conference paper and journal. Also she is one of the edited book author of IGI Global. Guided many undergraduate and post graduate students to publish research papers. Organized FDP, workshops for faculty members.

She is a member of Computer Society of India (CSI), IEEE and ACM. CSI student branch counsellor at SSN College of Engineering since 2009. She has been organizing many workshops, competitions, project colloquium and seminars to the students, research scholars and faculty members under the banner of SSN-CSI students chapter.

  2. Received “Senior Educator and Scholar” award from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, Oct 2016.

International Conference and Workshop Organized

  1. IEEE International Conference of Computational Intelligence in Data Science(ICCIDS) 2019 was held during 21.2.19 to 23.2.19 at SSN College of Engineering. Dr. A. Chamundeswari, Dr. G. Raghuraman, Dr. B. Bharathi, Dr. S. Kavitha was the coference chairs and Dr. D. VenkataVaraPrasad, Dr. Suresh Jaganathan, Mr.V.Balasubramanian was conference co-chairs. This conference was funded by SSN and Cognizant, Chennai. The conference proceedings was published in IEEE, and later indexed by Scopus.

Funded project

Completed research project titled “Multiobjective optimization techniques to improve the automation of test data generation in SBST”. This two year project, 16th Oct 2014 to 15th Oct 2016, was approved and financially supported by SSN institutions. The grant allocated for this project was Rs. 1.80 lakhs. Pooja G, Mohanasundari R, Anand Kumar M, Sayooj P, Jayashri M are the student volunteers, who worked on this project.

  • Co-author for the accepted IGI series book, Confluence of AI, Machine, and Deep Learning in Cyber Forensics, 2020.
