The best learning phase in my career so far was happened to me at SSN. The two years I spent at SSN taught me immense lessons in my research career and raised my confidence level. The faculties at Dept of BME are so encouraging, friendly and some of them are best in this field. They showed me the real excitement in learning new techniques that would help in healthcare needs. I would also advice my juniors and the incoming students to use the maximum potential of the faculties here. Trust me the practical knowledge you will gain at BME laboratories will help you forever in your career. I got the best supervisor and mentor, under their guidance I have published around 4 research articles in IEEE journal and other reputed biomedical journals. It all began from the insisting words by my mentor Dr. S. Pravin Kumar, who suggested me to apply for masters abroad. I did my Masters in Nano-electronic systems in the Technical University of Dresden, Deutschland and now positioned as Application Engineer at ASML, Netherlands. Things I learnt from SSN cannot be written in words, Each and every day was a learning to me. If you have crazy ideas please work on it and I am sure SSN will recognize it through internal fund and other moral support. Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at SSN is the place where everything related to my professional career kick-started. Along with learning core biomedical engineering modules, I also got opportunities to implicitly learn aspects related to new product development, project/team/people management, time allocation, and conflict resolution, among others. Excellent faculty with the support of impressive lab infrastructure trained me on adopting interdisciplinary approaches to solve real world problems. Nothing other than these experiences triggered my inclination towards research. After completing my bachelors in biomedical engineering (2008-2012), I stepped forward to pursue doctoral studies at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (India) and focused my research on healthcare operational excellence. I owe a substantial part of my journey and the achievements in it to the amazing group of BME faculty at SSN.
