| SSN Institutions celebrate
Teachers' Day |

Chennai, September 7, 2009: SSN
Institutions, a not-for-profit institution founded by
Dr.Shiv Nadar, Chairman HCL Group today celebrated Teachers
day at their college premises. Chief Guest Kavignar
Kanimozhi, MP, distributed the best teacher awards to the
faculties for their invaluable support and contribution
towards education and research at SSN Institutions, in the
presence of Ms. Roshini Nadar, SSN Trustee, Mr. Ambi
Srinivasan, Chairman, Management Board, SSN Institutions,
Ms.Kala Vijaykumar, President, SSN institutions, Dr.
Saivahanan, Principal, SSN College of Engineering, Dr.
Shashikant V. Albal Director, SSN School of Advanced
Software Engineering and Mr. B. Srinivasan Director, SSN
School of Management of Computer Applications and Mr.
Ramkumar Ramamoorthy, Vice President, Cognizant Technology
Solutions Ltd
Kavignar Kanimozhi, MP, addressing the gathering of
faculties and students during the ceremony said "Teachers
are the biggest inspiration for the students. Teachers will
not only impart their knowledge in the subjects but also
share the great learnings in their life, which will
eventually give the students the confidence to make the
right decisions in their lives"
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Ambi Srinivasan, Chairman,
Management Board (Founder, CEO & Board Member - Redington
Ltd, Global Management and Business Leader), said " The
contribution by the teachers to this country is immense. It
is the teacher's influence that would mould the students as
future leaders of tomorrow".
Speaking at the occasion, Ms.Kala Vijaykumar, President, SSN
Institutions, said, "Teachers play a pivotal role in every
student's life. They lay the foundation for creating
socially responsible citizens"
Cognizant Technology Solutions Ltd, a leading IT company had
instituted Best Faculty Award since 2006 at SSN, for
faculties for their extraordinary contribution towards
education and research. This year Dr.S.Radha, Head,
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering had
won the award. Around 17 best teacher awards are distributed
to the faculties across departments for their tremendous
support and contributions in education and research at SSN
Institutions. |

Founded by Shiv Nadar, Founder - HCL,
the SSN Institutions endeavor to provide world class
research based education to meritorious students from all

including the SSN College of Engineering (SSNCE), the SSN
