E-Week '09 was celebrated in our campus to promote
entrepreneurship and to extend the arms of SSN EDC.
E-Week '09 was the first GRAND SCALE INTRA COLLEGE
EVENT at SSN.
The E-Week '09 was a 5 day extravaganza ranging from
speakers to panel discussion to fun events. With the
sole intention of popularizing EDC, the E-Week '09
began on Feb 14 with the planting of saplings and an
Intra College Cricket tournament which had 12 teams
registering. The next 4 days from Feb 16 to Feb 19
was scheduled to have 2 speakers per day in the
forenoon sessions and an event in the afternoon
sessions. |

The speakers were |

- Mr. Sarath Babu, Founder, Food Kings
- Mr. Baskar, Founder, Ascent Education
- Mr. Karthik Ramani & Mr. Dhanasham, Founders
Jargon Handlers (SSNCE Alumuni)
- Mr. Kannan, Co-Founder Perfint Technologies
- Mr. Sunil Cherian, Founder, Burgerman

The events included |
- EPL Bidding (a game that required the
students to handle their virtual money in an apt
manner so as to bid for a good team and market
it to the audience)
- Crazzy Bazzaar (a game that needed
the students to just guess the price of the
product and they can take the product along)
- Treasure Hunt (this event had the
clues in a very complex manner that needed the
students to have sound knowledge in business and
G.K)
- Screening the movie ("An Inconvenient
Truth", Mr. Al Gore's movie on climate change
was screened to create awareness among students)

Apart from the above mentioned events, we had the
daily events and week long events. Daily events were
slogan competition, puzzle lucky draw and
Innovative I (writing a solution to some
entrepreneurial problem that was given). Week long
events were the photography competition, Blogging
competition and Poster designing competition.
A Total prize money of 35k was given to students
with the only agenda of spreading EDC and
entrepreneurship in campus. The E-Week '09 turned
out to be massive crowd puller and great inspiration
to would-be entrepreneurs. The E-Week '09 has opened
up the minds of students in a new path called as the
"Entrepreneurship".
SSN EDC was proud and successful in presenting the
E-Week 09 which was an intra college fest for the
celebration of entrepreneurship in SSN. The idea of
bringing eminent entrepreneurs to SSN campus is to
make the students aware of various aspects of
entrepreneurship. And the idea of conducting various
events is to give the students an insight into the
power of SSN EDC.
The present Final year students who are part of the
EDC core team had taken a stance to make some
remarkable changes to SSN EDC before the end of
April 2009. |

The changes proposed were: |
- Bringing awareness about Entrepreneurship
to all students
- Popularizing the EDC in Campus and
widening the core team
- Making E-Week a grand event that will be
anticipated every yea
- Structuring the EDC in a more
Professional manner

Of the above mentioned proposals the top 3 have been
accomplished successfully and the fourth one is in
process. The E-Week '09 also witnessed the launch of
the website for SSN EDC. For further details visit
