• An amount of Rs. 21.8 lakhs have been sanctioned for the project proposal submitted by Dr. R. Srinivasan (P/IT) and      Dr. J. Raja (P&H/IT)  by the Department of Science  and  Technology at New Delhi on 15.12.2008. The title of the project is "Process Variational Study and Performance Analysis of Nano-Scale MOSFETS and FINFETS: TCAD Simulation and Process Aware Spice Models".

• Final Year IT students Praveen SK, Sudharsan L and Yuvaraj S with Mr. I. Joe Louis Paul (SL/IT) as the coach participated in the onsite contest of ACM-ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) Asia Regional Finals held at Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus, Kerala during 5^th and 6^th December 2008. They have secured 52^nd rank among the 63 participated teams including teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and India.

• Dr. R. Srinivasan (P/IT) presented the project proposal of Rs. 20.1 lakhs to the Department of Science  and  Technology at New Delhi, on   26^th  November 2008 which was earlier submitted by     Dr. R. Srinivasan (P/IT)    and      Dr. J. Raja (P&H/IT)   on 24^th May 2008. The title of the project is "Process Variational Study and Performance Analysis of Nano-Scale MOSFETS and FINFETS: TCAD Simulation and Process Aware Spice Models".

They have secured 45^th rank among 80 participated teams and also have been selected to participate in the on site contest of ACM-ICPC 2008, Asia Regional Finals to be held at Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus, Kerala during 5^th and 6^th December 2008.
