Objectives:
To create a platform for enabling all the members to meet, share, discuss, work on projects, do research and develop Information Networking and Security Expertise
Action Plan:
- Meet every first Saturday in the months of January, February, March, July, August, September and October of every year.
- Have invited lectures from the members or other experts from outside on any of the sub areas including Networking, Cryptology, Information Security Technology, Policy and Management.
- Take up projects in this area, work on it, present and discuss.
- Conduct workshops, seminars and conferences in this area.
Administration:
- As all the members of the forum are currently from IT, the student representatives for AIT will, in addition, be the respective FINS representatives.
- As and when we have members from other streams, new office bearers would be elected, keeping in mind the requirements of the forum
- From faculty side, there shall be a coordinator for the forum and its activities and a treasurer.
Funds:
- To start with out of earnings, if any, from the proposed workshop, 50% of it would be allotted (with approval of authorities) as seed money.
- Funds from SSN and other sponsoring organizations.
- Raise funds from project work and other activities.
Rules and Regulations
This forum is for a harmonious development of both the individual and the institution.
- All members will be required to aspire and work on a particular topic relevant to FINS and make a presentation of their work at least once in every 3 months
- The members and the office bearers will guide the selection of the topic to work on.
