• Dr. V.E Annamalai, Professor provided the scheme for one day training on "Waste Management" for Confederation of Indian Industries, June 2010.
• The Project proposal on "Development of ceramic tool for Friction Stir Welding of steel", submitted by Prof. Annamalai and Prof. Thansekhar, has been recommended for Internal funding of Rs.4 Lakhs, May 2010.
• Prof. Annamalai has been invited by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) to join the Manufacturing Panel of CII, Chennai Chapter. He has been requested to anchor the WISE (Waste Identification and Systematic Elimination) activity and the initiation of Innovation Awareness Program among Industries, April 2010.
