Mr. S. Senthil Velan is a dynamic and go-getter currently working as Assistant Professor. He received his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India. To enhance his knowledge, he went to the United States in 1995 to pursue a Master's programme in Computer Science. In 1998, Velan has completed the Master of Science programme at Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, USA. During his stay in the United States, he has been a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant and Graduate Assitant in the Department of Computer Science, Wichita State University. After gaining some industrial experience he left United States and came back to India and was working with Nexus Computers as Technical specialist in the Pre-sales department, specializing in IBM, HP and Compaq Enterprise Solutions. He then came back to teaching as HOD of the Information Technology department at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering COllege, Pondicherry. After joining SSN in 2003, he has registered for the Doctoral programme offered by Anna University in 2007. He has publications in National Conferences and a life member of ISTE and CSI. His areas of interest are Aspect Oriented Software Engineering and Object Oriented Software Engineering.
