The students of SSN College of Engineering excel not only in academics but also in cultural activities. To inculcate in the students, team spirit, quick decision making, ability to organize events, to bring out and nourish the latent talent in them and above all to chennelise their inherent energy, the college has a Student  Club. It provides facilities for the activities, such as Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Literature (Tamil& English) and Quiz and each student takes part at least in one of the activities. To facilitate this, for each department, comprising all the four years, on one day in a week the last two hours is kept free for this purpose. Departmental staffs are given responsibilities for the smooth conduct of activities. Initially the competitions are held in the intra department levels and finally lead to interdepartmental levels.

Our students participate in various cultural activities organized by other colleges and bring laurels to the college. Our students organizes rally for social awareness every year. The last year, A Literate Voter Rally, was organized to promote voter awareness on February 2006.This year students have organized Road Safety Awareness Rally in association with Chennai City Traffic Police on 24 th February 2007.
