Department of Chemical Engineering was established in the academic year 2004 – 05. The Department offers B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. The Department of Chemical Engineering will be a premier department that provides quality education and congenital research environment.

It has the vision of upgrading the learning process, training and research skills in Chemical Engineering to meet the requirements of the Chemical Industries and also for future innovative research works. The department has focused on their disciplinary advanced subjects and industrial collaboration. Our present primary mission is to educate under graduate students and to disseminate knowledge through research in emerging technological areas. The department is committed to achieve excellence in these activities. The department has high quality teaching faculty with Ph.D degree and teaching attitude. The department has invested in high quality state of art laboratory equipments and infrastructure. The goal is to inculcate in our students excellent communicating skills, which will reflect their strong fundamentals in subject knowledge and they excel in their profession.

The current research area of interest is in smart technologies relevant to the energy ( Nano, Solar) and environmental (Pollution Control by Electro Technologies).
