July 2007: Dr. Mallika Jainu, Lecturer has been appointed as a research board advisor in American Scientist Biographical Society, North Carolina, USA.

February 2007: Dr. Mallika Jainu, Lecturer was awarded the award “Leading Scientists of the world 2007” by International Biographical centre, Cambridge, England. 

Dr N.Sriraam, HOD/BME presented his paper “High Performance Lossless Compression of EEG signals for Telemedicine applications” at 12th ISfTeh International Conference on Telemedicine held at Chennai on 2nd and 3rd November 2007.

Dr N.Sriraam attended the one day workshop on "Innovation in Computational for Brain-Computer Interfaces(BCI)" Organised by IEEE EMBS society at Convention Center, “Cité Internationale”, Lyon, France during August 22 2007.

Dr N.Sriraam , presented his paper Neural network based near-lossless compression of EEG signals using non uniform quantization, at 29th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (in conjunction with the biennial Conference of the French Society of Biological and Medical Engineering (SFGBM)) held at Lyon, France on August 23-26, 2007

7.12.2006 & 8.12.2006: Mr. S. Pravin Kumar, Lecturer, presented a technical paper on IEEE International Conference of Signal and Image Processing at Hubli, Karnataka.

12-12-2006 & 13-12-2006: Mr Y.Kiran kumar, Senior Lecturer, presented a paper in an international conference at National brain research center, Delhi.

26.11.2006 to 9.12.2006 : Mr. K. Srinivasan, Lecturer, has attended the FDP on “Signals & Sytems” conducted by Department of ECE, Anna University, Chennai.

8.09.2006: III Semester BME students conducted industrial visit to Sree Chitrai Tirunal Institute of Biomedical Science and Technology, Trivandrum.

20.10.2006: MOU was signed between Biomedical engineering department, SSN college and Bharat scan for exchange of technical data.

17.5.2006:  A guest lecture on “Blood, Blood Vessel and Nervous System” delivered by Dr. Madhu.

23.8.2006 : The association of BME students arranged a guest lecture on “Communication skills” by Dr. Iyyappan, Head, English Dept, SSNCE

19.09.2006: Biomedical Engineering Student’s Association inauguration function held in the presence of Dr. Kumaravel, Prof, Dept of ECE, Anna University and Mr. Manoharan, Senior Manager, Siemens, Chennai.

22. 8. 2006: Mr. Karthikeyan (II year BME student) won prize in intercollege quiz competition held at Srivenkateswara Engineering College, Sriperambudur.
