Dr. V.Kamaraj, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has 21 years of teaching and research experience.

He has received his B.Tech (EEE) degree first class from Calicut University in 1988, M.E. in Power Electronics and Ph.D in Networks from Anna University respectively in the year 1993 and 2001. During his Ph.D he has proved “Biorci’s Conjecture” a classical mutiport network synthesis problem.

He has published over 8 research publications in refereed International and National Journals and 20 papers in Conferences.

He served in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering from 1989 to 2006 and was elevated from Associate Lecture to various positions. During his stay at SVCE he developed voltage controller for Induction Generator which was first of its kind. He has conducted several conferences and workshops funded by various agencies.

After joining SSN College of Engineering in 2006 as a Professor in the Department of EEE he was instrumental in getting MODROB project and Seminar grant from AICTE. He was the Organizing Secretary for the 1st International Conference on Electrical Energy Systems (ICEES-2011) and fulfilled all his commitments.

He is the Chairman SSN-ISTE Chapter and responsible for conducting ISTE Monthly Seminars delivered by eminent personalities in various fields. He has received best paper award for the paper he presented in the 13th ISTE annual convention (Tamilnadu & Podicherry Section). He has also conducted 3 day workshop for the students funded by ISTE.

Presently he is guiding 8 Ph.D research scholars of which 2 of them have submitted their synopsis. He is currently working in the area of DC-DC Converters, Motor Design and various Power Converter Topologies.
