Revised Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

1. Technical proficiency

Graduates will apply their technical knowledge and expertise to develop and implement computing technologies for a broad mix of informational purposes of the research/industrial/societal needs.

2. Professional development

Graduates will continue to grow intellectually and professionally in the dynamic industrial scenarios.

3. Social responsibility

Graduates will make a positive difference to the society by generating employment and rendering services for the betterment of the society.

 Revised Programme Outcomes (POs)

After completion of the program the students will be able to

  1. Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals for computing applications.
  2. Identify/Formulate algorithms for practical computing applications.
  3. Exploit and utilize computer programming concepts and computing hardware devices.
  4. Design, implement and use human friendly, interactive computing systems.
  5. Store, maintain, mine and analyze data repositories.
  6. Design, implement, manage and analyze networks and network oriented applications.
  7. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of IT resource planning system development and management principles.
  8. Understand the impact of the computing solutions in societal and environmental contexts.
  9. Demonstrate the knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities
  10. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form and able to explore the impact of engineering solutions in the society and be aware of contemporary issues.
  11. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  12. Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

  • To instill  the fundamentals of information technology together with mathematics, physical sciences, and basic engineering
  • To  infuse the concepts of data structures, algorithmic constructs, and object oriented paradigm which enable a deeper understanding of systems and application softwares
  • To develop an understanding of storing, processing, and communicating digital  information across networks, with emphasis on security
  • To acquire skills in the design and development of database technologies
  • To impart knowledge of web-programming, E-commerce, and web services
  • To facilitate holistic development of a responsible professional  with the required soft-skills, environmental  awareness, and professional  ethics to excel  in team work
  • To prepare the students meet the dynamic industrial needs
  • To inculcate research attitude among students, and motivate them to pursue higher studies

After completion of the program the students will be able to

  • Demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, science, electrical, electronics and basic engineering.
  • Identify, formulate, design and solve engineering problems, and also be able to experiment, analyze and interpret data.
  • Demonstrate their skills to use modern engineering tools, software and equipment to analyze problems.
  • Design, implement and administer local -area and wide-area networks to satisfy organization goals and end users.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities, communicate effectively in both verbal and written form and able to explore the impact of engineering solutions in the society and be aware of contemporary issues.
  • Develop confidence for self education and ability for life-long learning.
  • Participate and try to succeed in competitive examinations like GATE, GRE, UGC, and NET etc.
