His recent postdoctoral research includes solvent-based post-combustion carbon dioxide (CO2) capture system that integrates a low-enthalpy, aqueous potassium carbonate-based solvent with an absorption-enhancing carbonic anhydrase (CA) enzyme catalyst and a vacuum regenerator in a re-circulating absorption-desorption process configuration. During his Post Doctoral Research, built a Post Combustion CO2 Capture and Regeneration Unit (Mini Pilot Plant). These involves developing a Process Flow Diagram, Mass and Energy Balance Calculation, Equipment Design Calculation, Selecting a Suitable Measuring Devices, Process Control and Data Acquisition System, Unit Assembling and Troubleshooting during Shake Down Testing.

His doctoral dissertation was conducted under the direction of Prof. R. Nagarajan and Prof. Sreenivas Jayanti in the area of Clean Coal Technology using high-intensity and high-frequency Ultrasound. Springer Outstanding Ph.D Thesis Award has been given for developing a high through output novel ultrasonic process for cleaning of high sulfur and high ash coal during Ph.D research programme.

And also during his Ph.D, involved in various Industrial Consultancy Research.

  1. Development of Predictive Model for Counter Current Spray Drier – CFD Simulation Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) – Pune
  1. Development of Predictive Model for Fly-Ash Erosion on Metal Surfaces. BHEL – Trichy
  1. Investigation of High Frequency, High-Intensity Ultrasonics for Size Reduction and Washing of Coal. BHEL – Trichy
  1. Ultrasonic Purification of Fly-Ash. BHEL – Trichy
  1. Determination of Bond Work Index for Limestone. FL Smidth – Chennai

He has worked as a Project Officer at IIT Madras in two different Industrial Projects. Further, worked as a Teaching Faculty at Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology, Madhuranthagam and National Institute of Technology (NIT Trichy) (Temporary), Thiruchirappalli. He has taught various subjects to undergraduate students such as Unit Operation, Fluid Mechanics, Mass Transfer, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Transport Phenomena and Environmental Engineering, for Post Graduate Students Chemical Process and Flow Sheeting, Water and Land Pollution Control Plant Design. He has published 14 Research Papers in Reputed International Journals, 16 International Conferences and 1 National Conference. He had involved in various extra-curricular activities like Volunteered in PAN IIT Research Symposium 2008 (PIRS ‘08) held at IIT Madras and Volunteered in CHEMFERENCE’09 held at IIT Madras, Tamilnadu, India.
