Dr.R.Hemalatha, Associate Professor in the department of ECE, has received her B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Periyar University and M.E. degree in Communication Systems from Anna University (with College Gold medal). She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Anna University for her research work on Image transmission in WMSN. Before joining SSN, she worked at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai and AKCE, Srivilliputhur.

Her research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Energy Harvesting Techniques, Compressive Sampling applications and Image Processing. She has 9 research publications in International Journals and 23 research publications in National and International level conferences.  She has guided over 20 UG and PG projects and 8 Student Internal Funded Projects sanctioned by SSN Trust. She is currently guiding 2 Ph.D research scholars. She is a member of IEEE, and Life member of ISTE.
