K. Josephine Julina has 10.7 years of experience that includes 3.5 years in an industry and 7.2 years in teaching as of March 2020. She received her B. E. – Computer Science and Engineering with distinction from Anjalai Ammal Mahalingam Engineering College during the year 2005 and M. E. – Computer Science and Engineering with distinction from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering during the year 2012. She has secured Anna University 28thrank in her M. E. and received the silver medal for securing the 2nd rank in college. Her industrial experience as a Software Engineer in iSOFT R&D Pvt. Ltd paved the way for a successful launch of her professional career. During her tenure at iSOFT, she visited the United Kingdom for product development and enhancement in the healthcare domain. She worked as a lecturer at Hindustan University for about a year and joined as an assistant professor at SSN College of Engineering in the year 2013. She has been an active member of IEEE professional body since 2014.

Hackathon organized:

  • Organized a 24-Hour Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 2.0” during 20th & 21st Feb 2020. A total of 28 teams consisting of 112 student participants from various disciplines participated. The sessions were handled by 28 expert members from various industries namely Ajira Soft, Mr.Cooper, HCL, CTS, Freshworks, Sirius, Temenos, and CML Media Software Pvt. Ltd.
  • Organized a 24-Hour Hackathon Event “Hack & Tackle 1.0” during 31st Jan’ 2019 – 01st Feb’ 2019. A total of 34 teams consisting of 152 student participants from various disciplines participated. The sessions were handled by 27 expert members from various industries namely Mr. Cooper, Amazon, QUBE Cinema, Infosys, HCL, CTS and Thoughtworks.

  • Handled the session titled “Tool for inferences in learning in belief networks and Protege: A tool for Ontology”, on 03rd Jul’ 2012, during the workshop on “Recent Trends in Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition”, held at Department of CSE, SSN CE.

  • Coordinator of SSN sponsored two-day workshop on “Machine Learning Techniques for Building Intelligent Systems”, during 27th & 28th Sep’ 2019. A total of 35 participants (faculty members, research scholars, industry delegate and students) from various institutions & universities attended the workshop. The sessions were handled by resource persons from CTS, Mr. Cooper, VIT & SSNCE.
  • Coordinator of SSN sponsored two-day workshop on “Machine Learning Techniques for Image-Based Applications”, during 09th & 10th Feb’ 2017. A total of 76 participants (faculty members, research scholars and students) from various institutions & universities attended the workshop. The sessions were handled by resource persons from IIT Madras, CTS, IIIT-DM & SSNCE.
  • Coordinator of SSN sponsored two-day workshop on “Research Prospects in Image Fusion and Registration”, during 01st & 02nd Feb’ 2016. A total of 32 participants (faculty members, research scholars and students) from various institutions attended the workshop. The sessions were handled by resource persons from IIT Madras, MIT, REC, VIT-Chennai, IIIT-DM & SSNCE.
