Dr. S. Ramprabhu is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He completed his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai in the year 2010 with a University Rank and M.E. in Communication Systems from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai in the year 2013 with a Gold Medal. He was awarded doctoral degree by Anna University in the year 2017 for his research work in the field of Electromagnetic shielding. He has 7 years of teaching experience and Industrial experience of one year as a Broadcast Engineer Trainee (Design Engineer) at Benchmark Broadcast systems. He has filed 6 Indian patents and published his research work in refereed international journals and national conference proceedings.  His current research interests are Frequency Selective Surfaces, Electromagnetic Shielding, Microwave Components and Antennas.


He has mentored 4 student projects and completed a project titled “Design and fabrication of miniaturized FSS for shielding WLAN signals” as a Principal Investigator funded by SSN Trust. He was part of the project titled “Establishment of microwave and Antenna Testing Laboratory” funded by AICTE under MODROBS scheme and Co-Investigator for the project funded by DST-SERB. He is also involved in consultancy activities related to Frequency Selective Surface and microwave components characterization.
